What counts as cosmetic damage for AirPods?

Hi everyone,

I got my AirPods pro about a week ago and one of them already fell out during a bike ride, leaving a couple of scratches on the plastic part that goes into you ear deep enough to make it uncomfortable to wear, so will this count as cosmetic damage for warranty purposes since the scratches are kind of small? I feel that it affects the functionality of the device because it is uncomfortable to wear but I could see how a tech might disagree.

Yes. This is not the fault of Apple, you have dropped your AirPods. Although this is unlikely to cause them to break, it seems it has here as you are having discomfort using them


Please see the following link regarding replacing your Airpod, scroll down to the bottom and click the "UK" flag and then select your own country to get it in your region/currency if you are outside of the UK.


You can replace each Airpod individually so you'll only need to pay to replace the one with damage.
