I inherited an iMac that has been working great. Lots of spam etc caused me to ERASE all. I have no disc to reinstall the system. What to do? Thinking of downloading OS Maverick> from a flash drive?
Thank you so much. I erased using command R and the disk utility and when I restarted the only screen is safari saying I’m not on the internet to do the next thing. The screen shows no apple menu or anything other than the safari message.
Thanks for responding. It is completely erased, asking me to install a system. . I see that that imac used 9.0 but i remember high sierra was on it before i erased. At any rate, im a fossil :))) so, i find an original startup reinstall (where?! :)) or is there an easier way?

Oh maybe I need to plug in an Ethernet cable - I’ll find one and try that to access and download a new system.
