Duplicate walking + running data

I send walking and running data from my garmin watch, but if I carry my phone with me, my distance is duplicated (apple health is using both sources). How can I fix this?

Hello mspeck1,

It sounds like your Activity data is duplicating, and you need some help stopping that. We will be happy to assist you.

To avoid seeing duplicate activity data in the Apple Health app, try disabling fitness tracking on your iPhone. On your iPhone go to Settings->Privacy->Motion & Fitness and disable "Fitness Tracking."

Manage Health data on your iPhone, iPod touch, or Apple Watch

Please try a test workout and let us know if this helps.
