Bluetooth won't stay connected in IOS 13.6.1

Yesterday, I was trying to listen to music with my Bose Soundsport wireless earbuds, but they would not connect to my iPhone 8 Plus. I have had no issue with them connecting in the past. I thought maybe it was the ear buds to I tried connecting via bluetooth to a wireless speaker. Same problem except it will connect for about 30 seconds, then disconnect.....wait about a minute, then it will reconnect. Then do the same thing over and over. I know this is a problem with the IOS updates because Bluetooth never gave me a problem in the past. What is the fix for this issue? I have unpaired and repaired all of my devices and it is still doing this.

Hi KeyWestPenny,

It sounds like you’re having Bluetooth issues on your iPhone since updating to iOS 13.6.1. What exactly happens when you attempted to connect the iPhone to your earbuds? Do the earbuds connect to other devices without issues? Let's try the steps mentioned in this support article: If you can't connect a Bluetooth accessory to your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Have a great day.

I have unpaired the earbuds to other devices and it still won’t connect to Bluetooth on my iPhone 8 Plus since I updated the IOS. They worked perfectly fine before the IOS update. I am able to pair my earbuds to my iPad running IOS 12.4.8 and an old iPhone 6S running IOS 13.3.1. I am also able to connect a wireless speaker to those devices with no issues, but the wireless speaker will not stay connected to my iPhone either. This is happening with all Bluetooth devices trying to pair with my phone since the upgrade to IOS 13.6.1.

With the earbuds, they will say “Connecting to Penny’s iPhone” but nothing happens. It will say that two to three times then say “normal device not found”. My Apple Watch says it is paired yet I get no notifications on it at all. For all of my wireless speakers, I get a message saying “Connection Unsuccessful. Make sure ‘device name’ is turned on and in range.” Bluetooth will also shut off and then come back on every time I try to pair a device with it.
