Final Cut 3d effects plugin issue - GPU not up to it?

Hi All

I have a 2013 MBP with Nvidia dual graphics the 2Gb GT750m...I have been running Final Cut ok for general editing and purchased a plugin here - however it wont run properly and slows down so the mouse goes choppy...it wont even render it so I basically can't use it...I was wondering if there may be any work-around and if not, whether upgrading to the 2015 MBP with the radeon 360 GPU would be worth it (as I could afford that upgrade and its still got the same ports etc...)...

Thanks for any thoughts...

This developer does not have a good reputation here, so I wonder if it is a problem with your mac or the template that is at fault.

I would not use that as a reason for an update, which I would expect to be minor.

Much better to save for a newer mac down the line. The 2013 and 2014 15" MBP were great machines, and while of course the GPU cannot compare to one shipping on today's 16" MBP, it would be hard to justify upgrading to a 2015 machine.
