Hi, I just noticed I have lost all my previous iMessage between with one contact. I haven’t deleted, i previous links and photos were still in there, just can’t drag to view the earlier iMessage anymore. My iCloud storage was full. So I disabled my photos and deleted photos from iCloud to allow more space for iMessage, however, it still didn’t come back. This is really upsetting. Could someone help please? Many thanks.

It sounds like you're missing a particular message thread from one contact. Can you recall when you last saw the message thread? We ask this because you may be able to restore the device from a backup if you have one. If this was an older thread, did the contact change their phone number? The missing messages might be in a thread from their old phone number?

Thank you for help. It is my regular contact, so I know the chat history is always there. The person hasn’t change phone number. It is just on my side I can’t view it any previous messages, but my friends still can. I phoned the Apple helpline. Thanks for the “wonderful” staff, they asked me to sign off and sign in again, I have now lost more Imessages. Can’t believe it. Really upset.
