If you open the System Preferences and select Displays you’ll see an option labeled Scaled. Select that and then select a lower resolution. This will make all fonts bigger - the fonts in the menubar, the menus, in applications, etc. The downside is that you’ll have a smaller window area because everything is bigger but you be able to read everything.


If the problem isn’t with all fonts but just word processing or Web sites you can adjust the resolution of application windows independently. Each program works differently but usually you’ll start by looking under the View menu in the menubar.
