Can you hook an external monitor and camera to a MacBook Pro 2020 and still see videos when the MacBook is closed?

I want to hook up an external monitor and camera to my MacBook Pro so my son can do zoom school on a larger screen...is it possible? And how do I hook it up?

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 10.15

Yes, but you also need an external keyboard and mouse/trackpad, and power for the Mac.
