iCloud backup help??

My iPad factory reset itself after an update. After a week waiting to be allowed to reset my password, I’m finally back in but the restore option isn’t available because it will only accept my OLD password. I don’t know my old password, that’s why I went through so much trouble to reset it. All of my school and work files are on backed up to iCloud but my iPad is currently sitting with a March 2019 backup. What do I do?!?! *panicking*
