MacBook Pro tells me that I did not own iPhoto or it was refunded

I have an iPhone,2 ipads, an iMac desktop, and a MacBook Pro

I am building a website to sell my handmade pottery, and I wanted to use my MacBook Pro when I’m working at our gallery. I am using Wix for my website. I’ve had no trouble on my iMac desktop uploading photos from my phone, etc. my MacBook Pro tells me that I did not own iPhoto or it was refunded and I cannot use my laptop to work on my website because I cannot upload any photos to Wix

going out of town and I would love to take my laptop and work on this. I updated my MacBook Pro so I would have the latest version of Safari but it still won’t let me get to my photos

Could you have logged into the wrong AppleID? You can probably only install the update if you're logged into the same Apple ID that first installed macOS. iPhoto is free So that the 'or it was refunded' bit doesn't apply.
