I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app and I still get pixelating and buffering pauses. I can run the app on my MacBook and all is well. Sling says network to crowded, etc. Not the case, it simply will not run on my Apple TV. Any other suggestions from anyone.

Investigate you home network to exclude possible causes on your end. Wi-Fi connected devices can get varying signal strength, based on where they are exactly. You MacBook will be in a different spot, and thus have a different connection stability.

The router is 15 feet away from both the Apple TV and my MacBook. Signal strength was high at both spots. I shut the Apple TV down, restarted it, and after watching most of the event on my Mac, I tried one last time and it worked like a charm. Good video , no interrupts, a totally different experience. Sling seems to be the issue as other apps work as they should. I will see how it works going forward. Thanks for your reply.
