Unused gift card balance

please reference View your Apple ID balance!

This is ridiculous how challenging Apples makes it to look up the balance of a physical gift card. NOT the balance in my Apple ID. I can't believe I'm having to waste this much time coming up with the answer to this in finding out whether these physical gifts have any value to them. I thought Apple was supposed to be user friendly??????

How can I get a balance on my gift card

I need to find out the balance of my unused itunes gift card please.

It's none of Apple's business how many gift cards I've purchased so it is a complete violation of customer's privacy to require them to login in order to determine gift card balances.

I ended up having to call a 1-800 number that I managed to find, wait on hold for some time and then finally read the numbers off to the operator to confirm what the balance on 5 cards.
