How to copy photo albums from iPhone to PC?

How can I copy the photo albums in my iPhone to my PC?

I have photos sorted in my iPhone in different folders/albums. Now how I can copy those photo albums to my PC.

if I try to go to browse through "...\iPhone\Internal Storage\DCIM\ I can see my photos are stored in different folders like 100APPLE, 101APPLE etc.

If I try to want to download via windows Photo app it's also showing all the pictures in one place.

But I have thousands of photo in my iPhone and sorted into different albums. Can anyone please guide me how I can select albums and from my iPhone and download selected albums either in PC or in MAC?

Thanks in advance for helping me out.

You can neither copy nor transfer the Albums to Mac or PC. You can transfer the Photos / Videos.

Import to your PC

You can import photos to your PC by connecting your device to your computer and using the Windows Photos app:

  1. Make sure that you have the latest version of iTunes on your PC. Importing photos to your PC requires iTunes 12.5.1 or later.
  2. Connect your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to your PC with a USB cable.
  3. If asked, unlock your iOS device using your passcode.
  4. If you see a prompt on your iOS device asking you to Trust This Computer, tap Trust or Allow to continue.

Then, visit Microsoft's website to learn how to import photos to the Windows Photos app in Windows 10.

If you have iCloud Photos turned on, you need to download the original, full resolution versions of your photos to your iPhone before you import to your PC. Find out how.

When you import videos from your iOS device to your PC, some might be rotated incorrectly in the Windows Photos app. You can add these videos to iTunes to play them in the correct orientation.

This response deals with how to import photos/videos. That is not the question - but you are saying that the hours I've spent organizing my photos on my iPad/iPhone are completely wasted as they will not be imported to my computer? The response is that I have to spend additional hours sorting and filing into newly created folders on my PC? How is this possible with this technology?
