Apple Watch Series 3 Keeps Turning Off When Unplugged
A couple of days ago, I noticed my Apple Watch acting rather peculiarly.
I had unplugged it from its charger, where it had stayed for a couple of months as I had no need for it during the COVID-19 quarantine, and I noticed that only a couple of minutes after unplugging it, it simply shut off.
At first, I thought it may have been a software issue, but my watch is running the latest update (6.2.8), and not many other individuals seem to be experiencing this, as I have discovered while searching for answers in the Community Discussions.
I then proceeded to reset it-- twice. The first time, I used the saved backup whereas the second time I set it up as a new watch. The issue persisted.
Whenever I restart the watch/ reboot it without plugging it back in, there is a red lightning bolt, indicating very low battery but as soon as I plug it in, the bolt turns green and the watch starts up almost immediately... 100% battery it tells me...
I do not wish to go to get the hardware checked because I am quite certain this was not caused by any physical damage to the watch-- everything else works perfectly.
Does anyone know how to fix this? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!
FYI: I did find one other discussion about this, but none of the suggested solutions worked for me...
