I have an iPhone 11 and a air2 iPad. ATT is my carrier and i have a personal hop spot on my plan. I am able to select my iphone as a network and access the internet on my iPad. Should i be able to get on the internet on my phone?

If we understand correctly you want to use Personal Hotspot for your iPad, concurrently while using the internet on your iPhone at the same time. Is that correct? If so, we will be happy to help.
While you should be able to access the internet from your iPhone, keep in mind certain apps and features that require a Wi-Fi connection might not work while using a Personal Hotspot. For example, you might not be able to make an iCloud backup or upload photos to iCloud Photo Library or Photo Stream.

I am able to access the internet on my iPad but not on my iphone. I am not looking to be on the internet on both devices at the same time. I was wondering if the was a setting on the iphone that i need to turn on.
