Dropped my new 2019 15" Macbook Pro in the bath for 3 seconds when it is on stand by with lid closed. I have not opened it since. What should I do? Am I covered at all by standard warranty?

Contact Apple for service.

The standard warranty doesn’t cover accidental damage, And unfortunately it’s likely to be an expensive repair (and sometimes water damage cannot be repaired and the computer is a total loss). AppleCare+ would’ve covered it for a $300 deductible.
