Apple Feedback Assistant for macOS: Reminder about your feedback

Is it official?:

Apparently I gave some feedback a while back, and got a reply back. I don’t recall receiving such an eMail in the past when it comes to providing feedback, and I’m suspicious about the buttons it has on the bottom. Any thoughts on its officialness would be great. Thank you.

This is the feedback mechanism included in the beta I believe (did you use the feedback assistant there)?

FWIW, the feedback assistant is built into the beta profile/downloads and the engineers may contact you for further info.

The feedback link we usually post here is something entirely different and Apple does not reply.

Would have asked it in the developer forums had I have known it might be beta. Will do.

Thank you babowa for the followup.

I installed Big Sur bata on my troubleshooting Mac. So, that must have something to do with it. That was way-bay-when.

Every now and then I'll use the feedback link from here. So, this would be a first for either method of feedback (beta or here).

As I said, the two processes are completely different and, the built in feedback assistant is installed during the beta install. It goes to a different department at Apple and it sometimes takes up to 2 years or longer for them to respond depending on how busy they are.That process is also the one that assigns feedback case numbers.

So, the result is: it is part of your beta installation and therefore cannot be discussed here - I'm sure you are aware of the terms/rules regarding betas.
