Why when you buy an iPhone 11 it comes with headphones?

Would Apple explain why, when you buy an Apple IPhone 11 it comes boxed with headphones? The IPhone 11 does not have a jack for headphones. Which wet behind the ears geek decided to do that. Pure unadulterated stupidity!!!

Well, there is some stupidity somewhere here. If you bought the iPhone 11 new from Apple or an Apple Authorized Reseller it comes with a set of EarPods that have a Lightning male connector on the end to plug into the Lightning connector on your iPhone. When you plug them in they will work. Have you tried?

If yours came with EarPods with a 3.5mm plug then someone ripped you off and replaced the ones that should have been in the box with another set. Talk to the person who sold them to you.

If you have the Lightning ones and they don't work get them replaced. Let us know which ones you have.

You was supplied with the wrong headphones clearly.

Where did you buy the phone from? Apple? Second hand? Reseller?

If you go the apple website, iPhone 11, tech specs it says the following -

  • iPhone with iOS 13
  • EarPods with Lightning Connector
  • Lightning to USB Cable
  • USB Power Adapter
  • Documentation

So it should come with headphones with a lightning connector, so you have clearly not got the right headphones

So clearly you did not do your research about what should be in the box, so clearly your initial rant is unjustified, as its a simple mistake that you got the wrong headphones.

As Apple have clearly intended to supply the correct headphones

I see your previous post got removed.

So to sum up, your not speaking to Apple, this is a user to user community, you haven't spoke to Apple at all, you haven't logged a complaint.

Clearly you was supplied the wrong headphones.

Contact Apple and I am sure they will correct the mistake,

There is no need to be aggressive or rant

Does BT stand for British Telecom? Or something else? You should actually take the whole kit back to them and ask for a replacement. And having a sealed box doesn't necessarily mean it is new from Apple, it is easy to reseal a box. Since you have your stuff out can you post a picture of the model number? Does it start with F?

BT does stand for British Telecom, a major British company. I did have problems with my first Apple IPhone 11, a problem that Apple couldn't fix unless I seent it in for repair. Since this was a brand new phone I told BT and they agreed to send me a new one as a replaement. I must stress these were brand new phones and since BT has strict government controls attached to it, I have absolutely no doubt that these phones were new and not refurbished ones, an assurance I have received from BT. Both of these phones came with earphones that had a jack, not the lightening connector. Clearly, this is a faulty batch, not BT's problem but one Apple need to look into. However, they don't seem disposed to do this, their concern was non-existent.

I have purchased correct earphones and will look to BT for a refund of my money.
