Serious barrage of SMS text SPAM that iOS 13.6.1 will not recognize
Since upgrading to iOS 13.6.1, I have been receiving a continuous onslaught of SPAM messages through iMessage and SMS. How are these making it through to my "Known Senders" list? I have "Filter Unknown Senders" turned on. There is also no link (as Apple shows) to report the unwanted messages.
TO REPORT AN UNSOLICITED iMessage or SMS, IT IS A 17-STEP PROCESS!
Apple needs to fix this horrendous user experience ASAP!
- tap and hold the message
- tap "More...,"
- tap the "forward" icon
- type in 7726
- tap "Cancel"
- tap the unwanted contact at the top of the screen
- tap "info"
- tap the unwanted contact again
- tap and hold on the unwanted contact hyperlink
- tap "copy"
- tap "<"
- tap "Done"
- tap "<"
- tap "772-6" in the Messages list
- tap "Text Message"
- tap and hold to "Paste"
- tap the send icon
