My external monitor stopped working with Catalina 10.15.5. Tried all options
Any thoughts, suggestions! working on small monitor isn't cutting it

I had the same problem, and tech support suggested reset the NVRAM.
Restart.
Hold Option + Command + P + R on startup until the Apple is lit or 2nd chime on certain Macs.
It solved my problem. Both monitors work now.

The current version of MacOS is 10.15.6.
No one wants to debug a problem already seen and possibly already fixed.
