Can't add cards in Apple Pay on my iPhone after signing out from iCloud and signing back in.

Hi everyone. A couple of days ago I signed out of iCloud and then signed back in. I wanted to refresh my iPhone XS Max and sort out a problem I was facing with some payments that were pending in Apple Pay for a long period of time although the transactions were already cleared.

When I signed in again to iCloud I couldn't add any of my cards although the cards were there in my wallet ready to be added. A message appeared CARD NOT ADDED. CONTACT YOUR CARD ISSUER FOR MORE IFORMATION.

I tried everything that I have read on various forums, (the same problem has already been mentioned in Apple forums) contacted the cards issuer, reset my iPhone but nothing.

I would very much appreciate if anyone could help.

Thanks in advance.

did you contact the bank that issued the card to see if there was a block?

The following is a list I compiled that covers most situations:

  1. Sometimes if you sign out of your Apple ID and back in it resolves the problem.
  2. Check your Apple ID region to make sure it is correct. If it is correct, you may need to select the same region again. (Change your Apple ID country or region - Apple Support)
  3. Check the region on your device to ensure it is correct (Settings>general>language & region - set to your region)
  4. A passcode is required to use the Wallet app.
  5. You need to be in a region that supports Apple Pay - Countries and regions that support Apple Pay - Apple Support
  6. Your bank needs to support Apple Pay - Apple Pay participating banks - Apple Support
  7. If none of these suggestions are able to resolve your issue you can go here for further assistance - If you can't add cards to Wallet for Apple Pay - Apple Support

Hello again. I contacted Apple support and reported my issue. The problem was recorded but no solution was given whatsoever. They just told me to contact my bank to make sure the problem is not on their side and then I could come back to Apple support to make another (?) try. Since I have already contacted my bank, now I am waiting for their response and wishing for an answer. Seems like this problem is really unsolved. Unbelievable!

After almost a week problem solved...partially. All of the sudden I managed to add one out of three of my cards to Apple Pay. No one did nothing, nothing happened, no one contacted me to inform me about anything. It just happened! Now I have once again Apple Pay. Even with one card added to it. (Btw all my cards are MasterCards).

I will wait patiently for the other two cards to be added. I don't know why or how did all of this happened but it was really frustrating!
