FCPX crashed on start after update to 10.4.9
Motion stopped starting too.
Compressor is working properly.
I deleted preferences - it did not help.

I solved this problem.
In TERMINAL:
brew install openssl
Then
cd /usr/local/lib
sudo ln -s /usr/local/opt/openssl/lib/libssl.dylib libssl.dylib
sudo ln -s /usr/local/opt/openssl/lib/libcrypto.dylib libcrypto.dylib
And FCPX started!
YES!!!

I reset preferences - it did't help me.
I tried to run FCPX using the Terminal:
PGLMasterCGLPixelFormat(): Framebuffer is 8 bit

I found that the problem with "/usr/lib/libcrypto.dylib Abort() called Invalid dylib load. Clients should not load the unversioned libcrypto dylib as it does not have a stable ABI"
What to do with it?
Reset preferences with appt-And at launch. Do you have third party plugins or effects? Contact the developer for updates.
Uninstall your third party effects. Contact the developers. FxFactory and there may be others.
I uninstall FxFactory, but FCPX crashed on start.
I don'n know what to do with "com.apple.InternalFiltersXPC". This is a system plugin.
Check that there aren't any other effects or titles or whatever in Motion Templates. Move everything out of there. Reset preferences with Opt-Cmd when you reboot.
I delete ALL plugins in Motion Templates, reset preferences, reboot ... not effects ((((
Go to your Time Machine or other backup and reinstall 10.4.8.
Apparently I have to do this.
I have no idea what that is. Wherever it is it needs to be deleted.
I'm curious about this issue and why it caused FCPX to fail launching. Did you previously install python with homebrew on this system?
Yes, I have python installed. The installed python did not interfere with the previous updates.
