iPad portrait view in mail cuts view of email off vs landscape - please sort Apple

Hi,

new iPad Pro, and I’m pretty sure since the software update one day after buying it, they have changed the view in mail and notes. In portrait mode it doesn’t neatly split the screen showing list of emails on left and open email on right. When I switch to landscape it splits it no problem. In portrait mode to see list of emails, the inbox view cuts the open email in half.

ive spoken to Apple support and apparently this is a feature.

Apple it is an awful feature as it looks like the screen has a fault and it’s not resizing. Very un-Apple

Why do I need to complain? I have no issue with the way it is set up. IF in portrait, click the email if I want to read it, simple as that, don't like it I'll put in landscape so I can see my email list and read my emails on the right.


Not a big deal. Learn to adapt to things.
