Hello everyone,
Recently, when I have tried to open certain apps on my iPhone 8, it says it can’t connect to the internet. But when I surf the web or open up YouTube, everything is totally fine. I’ve already restarted the phone, deleted and reinstalled the app, and turned my cellular/wifi off then on again. I’m just wondering if anyone has had this problem, and if anyone knows how to fix it.

I am having the same issue on my IPad. I connected to my IPhone via hotspot and now the apps work. It seems to be a service provider issue. My IPad is on verizon and my IPhone is on ATT. I don’t think it is all of the apps.
i have a similar problem on my iPad that started today. I am on the Internet and can get into certain apps such as YouTube, but I can no longer get into Facebook, Yahtzee and Gin Rummy that I usually use every day. I am also getting a message to say that I am not on the internet when trying to get into Facebook via Safari, i.e. not using the app.
Since your phone is able to connect to the Internet, it's going to be an issue with the app. Contact the app developers.
I am having the same issue on my iPad. Messages, words with Friends, and mail will not connect to the internet but other apps are fine, safari is fine. This just started today.
Mail is now working but Messages are not. Words with Friends is still not connecting. Weird.
Mail now not working, messages is working. This is ridiculous!
FB app can't connect to internet. I can call it up on Safari.
Now working fine but why a problem with some apps (totally unrelated to one another) and not others?
