Apple tv
We have a Samsung qed tv that has Apple TV app on it. The frndly tv app supposedly can be add through Apple TV. Does adding this app require an Apple TV subscription? We have been unable to add the frndly app

It seems there is a misunderstanding to the features of the Apple TV app, and a confusion with the capabilities of the Apple TV set-top box. Apple TV app vs. Apple TV box - ASC
- You can’t install apps inside the Apple TV app. You can install apps on your Samsung TV, from the collection that Samsung provides in their Apps repository.
- You can add selected premium Channels to the Apple TV app. This does currently not include Frndly TV content.
- You can install apps of your choice (out of thousands) from the tvOS App Store on the Apple TV set-top box (4th generation or later), as an HDMI-connected streaming device.
