iOS 13.6.1 update disabled my microphone and my telephone speaker

I recently updated my phone to 13.6.1 and my microphone and telephone speaker stopped working. It also doesn't register headphones. Everything worked fine until I updated my phone.

I backed up my phone and factory reset it. My Microphone and phone speaker momentarily worked right after the reset including the headphones. I tested it, everything worked. Then, right back to where it was.

Example: Voicenotes on Whatsapp plays on speaker, but when I put the phone to my ear it stops. Can't record voicenotes either.

If it was a hardware problem it wouldn't have worked at all after the reset and while watching videos the audio is fine.

I'm at wits end here. I need to make phone calls like every other person on the face of the planet that owns a mobile device for heaven's sake. SOMEONE HELP.

If you only hear through speaker phone mode --> If your iPhone is stuck in headphone mode - Apple Support

If the other person is not able to listen to you then please click this--> If the microphones on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch aren't ...

If the above options do not mitigate the issues then Contact your carrier and then Contact Apple Support

I’ve done every recommended fix offered. Nothing works. I keep telling Apple it’s NOT an isolated Hardware issue with 7 Plus- IT IS THE SOFTWARE 13.6.1 UPDATE. After reading endless threads I’ve found this happened back in 2017-2018 especially to 7 phones. Microphone Disabled and Speaker Grayed out. Apple replaced phones for those who immediately contacted support but stopped that option late 2018. Have asked to renew that option so I have a phone I can make Calls with. Novel idea I know- I’ve gotten NO RESPONSE. So Frustrated. It’s been 10 days of resets and recovers and NOTHINGS WORKING. It’s going to take another Update to Fix this. Apple Programmers need to get busy NOW PLEASE.

Same problem here. Have been seeking answers daily for a week now to no avail. Have done everything offered by Apple Support. Every form of Reset with risk of losing all

content. Had made phone calls prior to update and Immediately after the Mic stopped working as well as the speaker function grayed out. Have done all the Sound and Haptics tests and sound comes out just as it should. It is not Hardware. It’s definitely a Software glitch from the update. It may work like you said for 1 phone call maybe and has cut off halfway through that. Have read similar issues from back in 2017-2018 with the 7 & 7 plus phones and an IOS Update. Apple ended up offering replacement phones for anyone effected that pursued the issue immediately. I’ve inquired about that with no response yet. Funny 😂 I was told to CALL Apple Support for further assistance. I replied I have a phone that can’t make phone calls. Please post if you get any resolutions that work. Thank you.

Same here for me. I’ve finally found a lost iPhone 7 who have been stuck on ios 10. Then I update it to the last ios 13.6.1 and after a few minutes I played songs from a headphone I unplugged it. And replugged it after one or two hours and it did not work. I placed a phone call anything work. I opened voice memo and tried to record something it did not want to start recording. I record a video with both front and rear camera and tested all of the mics. Nothing worked. I made a soft reset, nothing again. I really need help.
