If I import a JPG file created by a camera into Photos, I can see the date on which the photo was taken. If I export the same JPG file from Photos and type Get Info (command-I) for the resulting file, the date shows the date of export. Is there a way also to see the creation date in the exported photo without explicitly typing it in as part of the photo title?

On macOS Catalina you should be able to see the content created date (when the photo has been taken), if you set the Finder window to Column view or Gallery View. The Info will show more metadata in this view.

I'm not seeing that on Catalina 10.15.6 either, but I'm sure I've seen it not too long ago.
Thank you very much for the reply, but I don't get the same window you show. There is a line for Created and one for Modified (both of which show the date and time at which I exported the photo) but no line for Content created. I am running Catalina 10.15.6.
After I clicked the "Helpful" button to thank markwmsn for the reply, my question shows up as "Solved". But it's not! I do hope Apple reinstates that feature.
