You don't.

In order to get onto your iPod to begin with, the music had to be synced from iTunes on a computer. It should still be in your iTunes library.

You need to sync the music from iTunes to your phone.

Hello, to “transfer” the songs from your iPod to your new iPhone X you will need to sync it with iTunes. You can do this with a Mac or a windows PC. First plug in your iPod and follow any on screen prompts to synchronize with iTunes, if you are asked to sign in with you Apple ID please do so. Once you iPod has synchronized you can plug in your iPhone to merge the library’s (not all songs can be transferred due to limitations). You may also have to tweak a few settings in iTunes to make sure all of the songs transfer over smoothly.
