blue yeti x with MacBook pro Catalina

Is anyone else having trouble with a Blue Yeti X mic on MacBook pro with Catalina. I can use the Yeti Snowball but this is my 2nd Blue Yeti X (they replaced the first one) and it works for a bit and then nothing. Everything is updated. It is mystifying.

Interestingly I discovered that the Blue software was creating the problem. If I opened it, then the microphone stopped working. Once I close that program and restart the computer it works fine. Go figure. Odd but true. Thank you so much for responding.

I'm going to amend the answer to my problem because someone else might look this up.

Actually, it is not the software.

After much testing today, I discovered that if I unplug the usb from the mic and plug it back in, then it stops working.

If I reboot the Mac Pro it works again.

So the trick is to get it set up and don't unplug the usb cord!
