How would owning two ipads work and sync?

I own an iPad pro 11 256Gb and when I bought I still though that writing notes on a tablet would never be for me. Well, that changed with both the iPad and Notability. I do have plenty of use for the smaller model but I'm considering getting the cheaper 12.9 version with less storage for not taking and keep it always in my desk.

That being said, I need to check a few things first:

  • I believe all bought apps would be available on the second device, is that correct?
  • Since I plan to use the bigger model just for Notability, would there be a way to keep this app cross-synced but only this app? I mean, removing all other files from the second device only such as books, movies, etc?

Thanks in advance!

Oh, BTW, my computer is a PC so the only syncing occurring would be between two iPads.

iPad Pro, iPadOS 13

Greetings renato295,

We understand that you have some questions about using two iPad devices and we're happy to help. To begin, you can learn how to download your previous purchases here:

Redownload apps, music, movies, TV shows, and books

You can also learn more about using multiple devices here:

Use Continuity to connect your Mac, iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, and Apple Watch

Some apps can also stay in sync across devices via iCloud. However, it's up to the specific app developers to include this feature as part of their app. You'd want to check with the developer of any third party apps about this availability or other syncing options.

Take care.
