why isnt my calendar showing holidays

Open the Calendar app and at the middle of the bottom of the calendar, tap Calendars. Does the US Holidays calendar show there? If not, tap Add Calendar, and see if you can add the US Holidays calendar.

Device or computer? Do you have the Holidays calendar checked?
