Geekbench benchmarks don't seem great for my 2020 27" iMac

I have a new 2020 27" iMac. (3.8 GHz 8-core intel Core i7, 72 GB 2667 MHz DDR4, AMD Radeon Pro 5500 XT 8 GB).

I ran some Geekbench 5 tests. Here were the results....

1209 for Single-Core Score

6800 for Multi-Core Score

According to the Mac Benchmarks for single and multi-core, I'm not to impressed? Should my iMac perform better than it is?

It's worse than an early 2019 27" iMac and mid-2020 13" MBP.

My OpenCL score was 42571. According to the online benchmarks this is pretty low on the list too.

My Meta score was 43955, which was pretty low as well.

I guess I was expecting better performance. Can you smart people give me some feedback? Is my iMac as fast as it "should" be considering the HW?

Benchmarks can be highly susceptible to other items that are

installed on your system and taking up "background" time.

The only way to truly benchmark a system is in its "pristine"

state out of the box with Geekbench being the only app installed

and only after some time for macOS and you other Apple stuff

and Searchlight to get completely updated.

Also, if you have any antivirus apps, "helper" apps, or any other

such apps, they will severely impact a benchmark test.
