How do I search for an artist in iTunes in order to purchase and download their music.

I am using an authorized MacBook Pro with macOS Catalina 10.15.6.

Using the search bar in Music gives many results but none seem to be specific to downloadable content. I am only interested in music that I can purchase and download but seem to only get subscription results.

After you click on the search bar, look at the upper right. Make sure you are in "iTunes Store," not "Apple Music" or "Your Library."
