Is there a way to have some apps on silent while your phone is on ring mode

I want to be able to hear some notifications, eg, just calls and texts but not loud sounds everytime I get a notification on social media/other less important apps etc. I don’t want to turn off my notifications for those apps I just want to only get sounds for certain apps! Is this at all possible? If not it should be
