USB Midi Keyboard not working with Logic Pro X

My Roland Fantom G6 used to work with Logic Pro x as a USB midi controller. I can no longer get it work. I haven't tried this keyboard since I updated Logic Pro to 10.15.1, so maybe that's when it happened.

I went through some other posts and checked a few things, deleted logic preferences and control surface preferences, factory reset the keyboard, reinstalled the fantom drivers. I see no midi input on the channel in logic even though it recognizes when I connect or disconnect the keyboard (it says "changed number of midi inputs/outputs". If I play the little keyboard in the environment window it works. It seems like the driver is online in the Audio midi setup window. Also whenever Logic Pro is running the keyboard's internal menus and controls seem to freeze up completely. I have never seen this keyboard do that before. When I exit out of Logic, I then can use the controls on the keyboard again. I'm stuck with no more ideas at this point. Please help if you can.
