Forgot mac laptop password

When I type in my Apple ID and the password I get the following information: "Recovering FileVault Key".....then... "The supplied iCloud account was unable to unlock this volume." I need help please.

Forgotten password I forgot my mac password. When trying to unlock it with appleID, it shows “the supplied icloud could not unlock this volume”. I think that filevault key was turned off on my mac and i had just one account for this mac. Is there any way possible to unlock my computer without loosing all of my personal files? Command+r, command+s doesn’t work, all I can get is recovery assistant which is infinite cycle of “supplied icloud could not unlock this volume”.

MacBook 13 Air - Forgot login password I forgot my Mac password and the hint didn’t help either. It is not giving me any options to recover it with my Apple ID, recovery key etc. Is there a way to get these options to pop up?

Forgot Mac password Unable to access my account on my Mac. I did NOT change the password but it’s not working with any that I can think of. Tried to reset with my Apple ID, but then it prompts me to create a new keychain and restart my computer. I clicked OK and proceeded but then it wanted an administrator name and password. I also do not know what that is. If I knew the password I wouldn’t be in this predicament. So therefore I can’t even reset with my Apple ID on my MacBook because I can’t restart my computer. Trying to figure out what to do
