Gmail not syncing

Hi, all of a sudden my Gmail emails on my iPhone are not syncing with my Mac. (They don't show read on iPhone when they have been read on my Mac.) This has worked perfectly for years and last week stopped working. There have been no changes on my Mac or on my iPhone. I've read countless articles on the internet, have checked to make sure emails are being 'fetched', have confirmed advanced settings, I've deleted the account on each device and readded them, I've logged out of iCloud on both devices and signed back in. I'm at a loss...nothing I have tried is working. iOS on phone is 13.6.1 and Mac is Catalina 10.15.6 if any of that matters.

If you are referring to Gmail on iOS mail app then....

Remove your email account and set it up again

On your computer, sign in to your email provider's website. Make sure that all of your email is there or make sure that your email is saved somewhere other than your iOSdevice. On your iOS device, go to Settings > Passwords & Accounts.

If you can't receive email on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch ...
