What is your model Mac, including introduction year/season for that model, as described in About This Mac? What is its version macOS?
As mentioned above, QuickTime has been part of macOS for a very long time. Unless your Mac belongs in a museum, it will have QuickTime already. To re-install QuickTime means to re-install macOS.

But... what do you do when it stops working ????
It works on all other user profiles on this mac, but stopped on mine - Do I really need to create a new user profile ? (If so, how do I replicate/transfer all data, settings and so on, and without taking twice the space on the mac ??
Just can't believe this...
As far as I know, it's part of macOS so should already be installed at /Applications.
My relatively new Mac is also having the same problem with QuickTime not opening!
Any ideas. out there?
