How do I know if my battery is swollen

If my battery is swollen does that mean also that is needs to be replaced and the charge is not holding long

If your battery is swollen, it means that the battery is failing - it can cause serious damage to other components and can cause a fire. You can see it if the laptop does not lay perfectly flat or the lower part of the laptop is bulging up.


Stop using it, make a backup, and turn it off. Then take it to your nearest store or authorized service provider.
