Is the Apple Smart Keyboard the best option for my 7th Generation iPad or would a less expensive Backlit Bluetooth Keyboard be better? Please provide the reasons for your choice.

I actually use my iPad in much the same manner that I would use a MacBook, but I don’t really want to pay the high dollar cost of a MacBook, so a keyboard for my iPad is actually somewhat essential for my needs. I am unsure of the Apple Smart Keyboard that is used for the 7th Generation iPad 10.2 for two reasons: the first is the price which is 159.99 USD (quality backlit Bluetooth keyboards are more versatile and under $100 USD); the second reason is the versatility of a Bluetooth keyboard which can be used on iPhones as well as other devices. To the best of my knowledge, the Apple Smart Keyboard is not backlit nor is it Bluetooth. I am wondering if I am missing something with Apple’s pricy offering.
Yeah, I know, but my bizarre faith in Apple gear is making me think there just might a very good reason for gettin the overpriced, less versatile and not backlit or Bluetooth capable Apple Smart Keyboard. You don’t often see Apple offer a product so inferior to other available & comparable products. But I guess this one is in the books, thx.
