My warranty is about to expire and one of my coworkers just got hers expired and her device's battery just got broken and I realized that would be nice to have my warranty extended. Is there any way to make it online instead of going to a shop?

AppleCare+ must be purchase within 60 days of buying the Mac. If your warranty is nearly expired, sorry to tell you but it’s too late.
In the US, you have 60 days from receipt to purchase AppleCare PLUS, or it is no longer available to you.
