Arrange by Name in Finder has stopped working in Columns view

In the last few weeks, my Finder view no longer works to Arrange by Name in Columns view. If I switch to List view, it works normally, but I prefer to work in Columns view and have for many years. I'm unaware of changing any settings that could cause this.

Right size all columns choices permanently Every time I open a new finder window, the default setting for the column width is switched back (to size adjustments), regardless if you have selected "Right Size All Columns Individually" before. Was really hoping after so many years and so many similar requests that this function would finally appear in Ventura. How do I change the width of the lines between columns in Finder's column view? If you look at the two photos included in this post, you'll see that in the FIRST photo (below), Finder is in column view and the line between the columns is very thin. That's how my Finder has always appeared. However, about two hours ago, the view suddenly changed and now I have these REALLY thick lines between the columns, as you can see in the SECOND photo (below). What the heck?! I cannot find any way to get back to the thin lines. How do I do that? Please help! Thank you!

When in Column View, click on View in the menubar and select Show View Options.

What are your Group By and Sort By options set to. Have a play around and see if

you get a combination that works for you. Or does changing these options not

rearrange the column order.

Thx! That solved it. I have no idea how it got changed, but it's all good now.
