Stop text messages to IPAD

When I go into Settings and Messages, I have no option to turnoff. Only to login via my Apple ID.

I had this turned off prior but since this last ISO update I am getting a message when I reboot that says. “ Message Failure message not sent” . I don’t want any text messages on my IPAD and I just want this Message App gone. How do I get rid of it off my IPAD for good.

Try Turn OFF Text Message Forwarding on the iPhone that you use!

First ensure that you are connected to the internet on all concerned devices.

On the iPhone, goto Settings > Messages > Text Message Forwarding > Turn OFF if it set to forward to iPad(s)

Does this fix the issue!

Okay thanks for the update and the screenshots ...

Besides your iPhone and iPad, do you still use any other Apple device? or previously have setup iMessage on some other device?

It seems like on your iPad you have already turned OFF iMessage.

Let us start from the beginning ... can you send a screenshot of your iPad

  1. Go to Settings  > Messages. (Screenshot)
  2. “ Message Failure message not sent” (Screenshot)

Thanks!

Hi

No other apple devices I have. Here is a screen shot of my IPAD and also the message. It has shown on every reboot i do now with my IPAD. I have had messages shutoff for at least 8 years. The last ISO update (not the one yesterday - prior one) when my IPAD rebooted after , all my IMessages showed up.
