trade in value different in store

I bought the new IPad Pro 11-inch a couple of months ago for school and I’m not liking it compared to an actual laptop. I tried to see the trade in value online and it’s only eligible for $400 in store credit. The iPad is still new with no damage on it what so ever so I’m wondering if I take it in the physical store, would the trade in value be different?
