Internet only connects with VPN

My MacBook Pro (IOS 10.15.6) won't connect to internet unless using a VPN.

Wifi interface is missing after updating mac OS Monterey Hello all, Surprisingly, I am facing a wifi/Bluetooth interface issue in my MacBook Pro in early 2015 13" inch after updating the system software. The wifi symbol is showing with a '!' mark. Bluetooth is working fine for now. But I can't see any wifi/Bluetooth interfaces to add, minus, or edit in the list. right now I am using the internet via LAN cable. I have found similar articles but with a different OS and MacBook device also. I would like to know the technical aspects behind this issue if possible. I have tried soft reset also. If anybody has any idea on this, please do suggest to resolve the issue. Any suggestion is appreciated. Please find the images inserted. Wifi enable/disable option is greyed out. Unless this VPN is a private VPN creating a tunnel to your workplace or educational institution, uninstall it.

Are you saying your VPN creates a tunnel between your residences? If connected to the VPN then the route to the Internet is managed by the VPN server you are connected to. Disable the VPN then you should be able to connect to the Internet.

I’ve been using this VPN from my residences (I’m a snowbird) for several years. This just started. I did something simple at my “summer” home and it was resolved. Now I’m at my southern home and I can’t remember how I resolved it.

This not only happens at my residences, but everywhere I've tried to login to the internet. (My southern "house" is offline when I'm up north.)
