I have an iMac 24" Early 2008 Model that I use everyday for work from home....Is there any way to connect a 2nd monitor to my iMac via HDMI and a mini display port? I bought one recently and believe I got the one made for Thunderbolt which obviously does not work with Early 2008 iMac....so is it possible and if so what do I need?

Thank you. I will try that! Once I get this, will the iMac recognize it on its own and allow me to move between the iMac and the connected monitor or do I need to do something with the display settings?
The one you provide has one fatal flaw. Mini DVI is a video only connection, vs HDMI which is video plus audio. I need audio in my HDMI connection. I want to pipe the video into a phone via HDMI to USB capture card.
