How to disable app switching with swiping from edge

I play games on my phone and the iOS feature that switches apps when you swipe from the edge of the screen is a huge pain. Is there a way to disable this?

I never use this feature and the problem is with a game where your directional control is a constant press on the screen your thumb can wander to the edge and then back to the middle, which switches the app right in the middle of your game. Not good.

Hi there baggadonuts,

It sounds like you need help making sure that swiping your screen doesn't interrupt your games. We do have an option that might help. While you can't disable app switching, you can use Guided Access to keep your iPhone from switching between apps unexpectedly. Learn more here: Use Guided Access with iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.

We hope this helps!
