Calendar search not showing older events even when set to show all

Head to to Settings > Calendar > and look for Sync — it’s in the middle of the right column. You can then choose a time period 2 weeks back, 1 month back, 3 months back, 6 months back or all.

That's correct. You won't. The built in calendar will not show you any events earlier than one year ago. There are third party apps that will allow you to search your appointments back further. "WeekCal" is one.

No matter the settings, you won't be able to search for anything older than 1 year. Try using an app like Week Cal. It should be able to search back further.

There is only one calendar database. WeekCal uses the same one as the built in Calendar app. If the entries exist, WeekCal will be able to search for them. The built in Calendar app is limited to how far back it can search.

Then you have a different problem. The built in Calendar app should have be able to find events that go back to October of 2019. Can you see earlier entries if you log in on your computer?

If I install WeekCal will all the entries be transferred from the existing calendar, including those older than 1 year?

I have installed WeekCal, but no evidence of calendar entries prior to Feb 2020, even in search.
