16 inch MacBook Pro with core i9 2.4GHz idles at 60º Celsius

Hello, im Mason and I have a question. What is the cause of my Mac idling at 145º Fahrenheit (60º celsius) I have read that my idle should be about 100ºF but Im getting much hotter and even when im just watching YouTube without discord or messages open or even any program its still super hot and im afraid to do things like photo and video editing on It because I don't want to damage a $3900 computer. I have looked in activity monitor and im only using at most 10% cpu usually im using like 4 or 5 percent just from things such as window server and other build in system daemons. Things to note that might help: I have a windows partition on my drive. I have a radeon pro 5500m. And macOS 10.15.6 (Catalina). I also play a lot of games and record while I play games like Roblox or Minecraft. If anyone can find the route of this problem that would be great! thanks!

Your Mac reads its internal temperature sensors and adjusts it fan speeds based on those measured temperatures multiple times a second. If that system fails, the fail-safe hardware defaults to fans to maximum.

Your Mac can run all day every day at 60 degrees C without any issues.

When its temperature approaches 100 C, it may do an emergency power-down to avoid damage.
