Photos: how to clone a part of the photo in the same photo

Hi to all.

I have MacBook Pro, with Catalina 10.15.6.

I would like to clone an object or a part of a photo in the same photo with the app Photos: is it possible or I need to find another app ?

(I tried with the function "Retouch" but I moved only the texture, and this is not what I need)

Thanks to all

Franco

To duplicate an object with Preview, open the image with Preview, then use the command "View > Show Markup Toolbar". In the Markup Toolbar open the menu with the selection tools and select the object you want to clone. I like to use the smart lasso.

Once the object has been selected, use the keyboard shortcut ⌘C to copy it anthem command ⌘V to paste it. then drag the pated version to the spot, were you want to insert it.

For example - I multiplied the statue of the boy with Preview:
